IECEx

IECEx steht für das Internationale Elektrotechnische Kommission-System zur Zertifizierung von Standards in Bezug auf Ausrüstung zur Verwendung in explosionsgefährdeten Bereichen. Es ist kein Merkmal einer Bremse, sondern ein weltweit anerkanntes, internationales Zertifizierungssystem, das einen einheitlichen, harmonisierten Rahmen dafür bietet, dass Ausrüstung in gefährdeten Bereichen sicher ist.

Im Context eines industriellen Bremsers ist eine IECEx-zertifizierte Bremse eine Bremse, die unabhängig von einer anerkannten IECEx-Bestätigungsstelle (ExCB) getestet, bewertet und verifiziert wurde, um den strengen Sicherheitsstandards der International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), insbesondere der IEC 60079-Serie, zu entsprechen.

3. Facilitating Global Trade: An IECEx Certificate of Conformity (CoC) is recognized by all member countries, significantly reducing technical barriers to trade. A brake manufacturer can obtain a single IECEx certification that is accepted in numerous markets worldwide.
4. Ensuring Lifecycle Safety: Beyond just product design, the IECEx system also includes schemes for certifying the quality management systems of manufacturers (Quality Assessment Report – QAR) and the competence of personnel who repair and overhaul Ex equipment, ensuring safety is maintained throughout the product’s entire lifecycle.
