Conveyor Belt

For conveyor belt systems, industrial brakes are critical safety and operational components, primarily tasked with preventing uncontrolled rollback on inclined or declined conveyors. Typically, high-torque, spring-applied, and hydraulically or pneumatically released disc or drum brakes are employed to provide static holding force when the drive is de-energized. This fail-safe function is essential to hold the fully loaded belt stationary, protecting personnel and preventing material spillage or equipment damage. In addition to static holding, these brakes also perform dynamic stopping functions, either for controlled process deceleration or for rapid emergency stops (E-stops), effectively managing the high inertia of the moving belt and its load.
